Resident Evil 2 Remake has been finally officially announced, and Capcom R&D Division 1 team is going to listen all our advices and opinions to build that remake we have dreamed for years. This is our last chance to revive this masterpiece, so, we should not waste a golden occasion to see again a pearl of rare beauty like Rebirth, and we all know what necessary is for this: pre rendered backgrounds and fixed cameras. Without them everything is lost and with no atmosphere.
- Why pre rendered backgrounds? It's simple: they have no rivals in recreating a superb photorealism. Think at RE0/Rebirth grass moving in the wind, at the rain falling on the train roof, at fire near the train.. we could make an infinite list of objects and locations finely detailed and men.. this is awesome.
- Why fixed cameras? One word: cinematographic style. Playing just like you're in a movie, with a wide range of spectacular shots whose beauty is enhanced by pre rendered backgrounds. And the effect of "what's around the corner?", is the icing on cake.
RE2 is a '98 game, an old style chapter, so remake needs to incarnate this spirit to revive it. Don't forget to comment everywhere saying that remake must be done following Rebirth footsteps. Let RE2 revive again, let Biohazard old and true essence come back.
